Black is the new black

Hi!
I've just got in from the longest day at work ever and had to trudge home through the snow, so now I'm tucked up on the sofa with my new addiction, Homeland, and a cup of tea and thought I should post!

I got the boots about a year ago from Mr Shoes as my poor student budget couldn't stretch to Litas, but now I'm a working girl they're definitely still on my list! The hat is about 6 years old from Warehouse but it's so warm and I love the oversized scruffiness of it, it's so thick and woolly - perfect for Duesseldorf's current temperature! My leather jacket is an old favourite and is from a vintage market in Rome - I picked it up for about 5 euros, ripped out the quilted biker lining and voila, my favourite jacket was created! My skirt is from Vila at ASOS and my cami top is from Topshop.

Hi!

how are we all today?

I'm excited for my first proper post on the new blog! And so here it is...

The weather is horrible here at the moment - minus degrees and snow, so dressing for work always takes a little longer! Today I opted for this gold-detailed blouse from Nasty Gal which I got over Christmas. The gold beading received a lot of complients at work! The blouse is great but the detailing is actually really heavy! I paired it with this simple black jumper from TK Maxx and these shoes I picked up from the Office sale. I shopped the sales like a maniac so expect a lot of sale pieces in the next few posts!!
At the weekend I finally got myself a curling wand - I'd been wanting one for ages and borrowed my brother's girlfriend's when I was in the UK for New Year's Eve and had to get one! So many people have asked me if I've been to the hairdressers and complimented my hair which makes me wonder how dreadful it looked before I styled it?! haha...you can see the results in the picture!

I've just started watching Homeland (a million years late, I know) so it's time for another sneaky episode before bed!

New year, new...blog!

Happy New Year!

I know it's a bit late but I've been so busy the last 2 weeks.
One of my new year's resolutions was to start blogging more regularly and I thought I'd start a whole new blog to do it.

So, if you don't know me: I'm Amy, 22 years old from England and I work as a fashion merchandiser.
I post mainly my own style, but also things which inspire me, things which grab my attention and an occasional piece of writing.
