Oh haii!

Hello!
How are you all?!

Sorry it's been a very long time! Life is pretty none stop and it seems I just don't find the time to sit down and get anything written.
But here I am, I had my wisdom teeth pulled out on Friday and my face is currently the size of a balloon and I'm extremely dosed up on painkillers which prevent me from being able to move or talk...or really function properly, so I guess it's the perfect opportunity to sit and write a post! ;)

The past few weeks have been pretty fun - I had a lot of visitors in the 'dorf which was lovely and the sun has been shining so we've been spending oodles of time outside drinking and eating and generally living the good life! On top of that, it was my birthday last week - I am now the grand old age of 23 *shock*horror*. I didn't do much to celebrate - went out for for dinner and drinks with the girls to a beautiful Vietnamese place around the corner and then the next day to the best, fresh all-you-can-eat Sushi place in town to cure our hangovers!
My big present off mum and dad is shopping when we're in Chicago (oh yeah, did I mention?! I'm going to Chicago!!). We fly out on September 4th and come back on the 14th... I seriously can't wait! It feels like I haven't left Europe in forever and the only flights I ever take are short haul back and forth to London or around Germany, so I'm actually really excited for a long haul flight (and of course, being in the states!!)

The only thing scaring me about Chicago is that I have approximately 3 weeks to get into shape...! So luckily the whole not being able to eat thing is kind of helping, but to help a bit more, the lovely Zaggora sent me a pair of their HotPants to try out. I tried them at the gym the other day and they are insane - I've never sweated so much in my life, but even just after one use, my legs did feel a lot better! They have a 2 week challenge which I am accepting - you wear the pants for 20mins a day whilst you do some form of exercise, and are supposed to lose up to 2 dress sizes in 2 weeks! So I am veryy sceptical to say the least, but I am going to give it a try and see how I get on!! Watch this space!!
Check out the pants and the 2 week challenge here: Zaggora!

This week we went to the Alaia Azzedine exhibition in the NRW-Forum in Dusseldorf - it was amaazing! Each room was dedicated to a different fabric, and you've never heard so much umming and awwing in your life! Such beautiful clothes and styles. It was really great!

So... here are some/a LOT of pictures of the past few weeks, more posts will follow, especially with my Zaggora update!

You Know Those Love Songs Break Your Heart

Hype my latest look on Lookbook here!

oh heyy!
So I was going to post again at the weekend, but then after some trouble with pain in my jaw yesterday it turned out I had to have 2 wisdom teeth taken out today (horrific) so I've been sat at home and thought it was a good time to post... I am quite dosed up on painkillers and ice cream so please ignore any weirdness!
As said in the previous post, I have a crazy busy week ahead of me, so maybe the painkillers will come in handy but I'm mega excited to be flying to Poland on Thursday for 2 days and then home on Saturday to be filled with pureed food :S
It's only been 7 hours since the operation and all I can think about is food, and all I can't do is eat... aarghh. Does anybody have any tips for eating post wisdom teeth removal?!

I got this vintage shirt off Ebay for £5. It's 100% silk and I am in love with it. I've worn it far too many times in the past 2 weeks since I got it but it's so me. It's so easy to throw on with a pair of shorts, black skinny jeans or as a shirt dress to go out in like here!

My shoes are from Bullboxer but I bought them from my trusty TK Maxx.
They are so cool, and feature in more detail in this post. The metallic details are my favourite and they go with everything!

What do you think of the look?

Waiting for our hearts to beat

Evening!

So as promised, I've been working on some new picture posts and spent my day editing instead of cleaning...my bad.

The next two weeks are going to be crazy busy - I'm off to Poland for two days on Thursday with work, and then booked a spontaneous weekend at home for some much needed TLC from mama and papa and then on Monday evening I fly to Munich for 3 days before heading over to Southside Festival for the weekend... safe to say I'm going to be dead, BUT I will be posting a lot more outfit posts as there should be some goodens I promise! :))

After a shitty week at work, I spent Friday night out with some friends having drinks in the Altstadt and then met up with a new friend yesterday for lunch and drinks in the Biergarten before having a little read in the sun in the park! As the weather is improving, it was time to be brave and whack the legs out (covered in fake tan, obviously), so expect a lot more bare-legged posts!

As I've been in my pyjamas all day, here is what I wore yesterday to enjoy the sun:
Check it out and hype it on LOOKBOOK!

What I'm wearing:
sneakers: Diadora Heritage from TK Maxx
floral shorts: Primark
black tshirt: River Island
cap: River Island
watch: Fossil

Hope you've had a good weekend - let me know what you've been up to!

You know those love songs break your heart

Hello!

I'm so sorry I literally haven't posted in forever - I've been so busy/lazy to set my camera up and get some outfit shots but today is the day! (although they won't be posted until next week!)

I had a nice weekend though and took some pictures on my 2nd iphone (nightmare), so thought I'd share that!

On Friday night we went out for cocktails and dinner... it was a very long week of meetings and lots to do, so a Mojito was much needed and went down a treat!

On Saturday I GOT A BIKE! I'm now officially (kind of) German! It's a little vintage affair with a basket and bell - lovely! The sun was shining so it was only fair to take it out for a spin... not going to lie, I was absolutely terrified as I don't drive and thus have zero idea about rules of the road and where I was allowed to go and it's a miracle I survived, but I followed my bezzie German and we clocked up 15km!
We discovered that Dusseldorf has a botanical garden (who knew?!) and had a little salad picnic and beer before the rain started to come down and we sped home!

After our cycle ride, we went to the pub to watch the Champions League Final. Now you may be shocked, but I'm not the biggest football fan... but actually it was a lot of fun! I was, of course, routing for Bayern which was slightly awkward because we were surrounded by Dortmund fans but hey ho!
After that we went to watch the fireworks over the Rhein which were part of Japan Day in Dusseldorf. They lasted 25 minutes and despite the rain it seemed every single person in the dorf was there - I have never seen so many people!

Today has been a relax day! I went to the gym this morning and made friends with the elliptical - cheeky 6km ;) and a little bit of rowing and now I am snuggled on my sofa with a book and a cup of tea listening to the new album from Passenger, looking like the old lady I am!

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend! What have you been up to?

I promise some outfit posts will be posted soon!! :D
Enjoy bank holiday Monday everyone not in Germany! ;)
